We discovered these pieces during the day, found them again in the darkness and set a proper light. The pieces are unaltered and natural but still abstract because location and size are unknown and could be random. The photographs from Iceland are not a classic photo-story, they rather describe the defining elements of iceland: Stone, ice and fire.

Point of time and lighting were crucial for the series of images. During the day the places are visited by numerous tourists but at night they are lonely.

Impermanence and timelessness are basic characters of the photos: Rock, which seems to last forever and ice, which can be melted away tomorrow. They indicate the contrast of Iceland.
